An interview about the beginning, the first steps towards realization, and everything that lies ahead.

In November 2023, we met with Gabriela Mahlelieva for an interview to discuss the “Sharena Zadruga” initiative. We talked about the difficulties, obstacles, and challenges we face daily. We shared our experience from the journey so far and our future plans.
“Our idea is to create a school complex for culinary arts and crafts. There will be a total of four buildings. The old school building will be transformed into a culinary school and will be under the aegis of Ferrandi Paris (note: one of the oldest culinary schools in Europe). The second building is the abandoned bakery and bathhouse, which unfortunately will need to be demolished and rebuilt. This will house the craft school. There will also be two buildings serving as dormitories for students and teachers,” Yuri explains.
The culinary school will offer courses in baking, pastry making, French, and Balkan cuisine.
