The Idea
We dream of transforming the village of Golyama Zhelyazna into an international center for arts and crafts.
We are working on the restoration of some of the main buildings in the village such as the old school, bakery, and bathhouse, aiming to turn the place into an attractive hub for creative individuals interested in culinary arts and traditional crafts.
Our Story
The village of Golyama Zhelyazna is beautiful. You fall in love with it at first sight, as soon as you see the blue waters of the Sopot dam and the rich greenery that surrounds it. It's quiet, it's benevolent.
And its people are just like that — kind and smiling. When we first saw it, we were lost. But we found a dream.
We stumbled upon the school in the village by chance. We crossed its threshold uninvited, opening room after room. We didn't know its history, but we saw its end.
Today, we continue to do the same, but now we are transforming room after room. At the end of 2025, we'll cross its threshold again. And we'll invite everyone.
So that the story can continue.
Why here and why now?
Because Bulgaria has centuries-old traditions in combining diverse regional cuisines and traditional artisanal techniques. Our country is one of the most favorable European destinations in terms of economic, social, and cultural aspects.
Bulgaria boasts one of the highest levels of biodiversity in Europe and is one of the leading producers of naturally grown raw materials. Additionally, our country still has traditionally trained artisans and preserved old artisanal techniques.
